Job Summary

Financial Services

  1. Preparation of Notice to Reader and Review financial statements
  2. Follow-up diligently with clients and external agencies for information
  3. Provide exceptional client service through communication, courtesy and respect
  4. Complete files accurately with close attention to deadlines, budget and recovery
  5. Adhere to all professional obligations and ethical standards

Income Tax Services

  1. Preparation of T1 personal income tax returns, including sole proprietors
  2. Preparation of T2 corporate tax returns as part of year end engagements
  3. Preparation of T3 trust income tax returns
  4. Preparation of T4/T5 returns and reconciliations

Other Responsibilities

  1. Maintain up-to-date accounting and tax knowledge by participating in external and internal training as required
  2. Contribute to and participate in the Firm’s unique culture and corporate mission


Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  1. Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) candidate or undesignated accountant
  2. 2 to 4 years public practice experience
  3. Experience working with profit-oriented enterprises 
  4. Accurate and efficient data entry
  5. Must be able to take accounting knowledge and apply it to real life situations
  6. Demonstrated strong experience with Quickbooks/Sage50, Intuit Profile and Caseware.
  7. Experience working with Microsoft office including Excel, Word, Outlook
  8. Personable approach and outstanding customer service
  9. Well organized, detailed-oriented, able to multi-task and self-manage
  10. Self-driven, quick-learner, conscientious and outstanding attitude
  11. Thrive in a culture of continual learning and improvement
  12. Valid Manitoba driver’s license and access to a vehicle
